We got excellent value for our money at Quinta Da Saraiva. The room was cozy but the bathroom was spacious. The location was central and just a short drive from Funchal. The staff were friendly and always available to assist us.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was having more variety of hot dishes.

The room at Quinta Da Saraiva was absolutely amazing! It had a balcony with a stunning view of the sea, which left me feeling relaxed and inspired. The air conditioning provided a comfortable atmosphere, and the seating area was perfect for unwinding after a long day. it made me feel at home.
Personally, I found the soundproofing in the double room to be a bit lacking. However, this is just my personal opinion, and others may still enjoy their stay as it didn't bother me too much.

The fully stocked Malmsey Bar and the stunning views were the perfect complements to enjoy the landscape. Loved the unique outdoor lounge and the curated art collection. So safe, they even have a first aid kit!
Oh, how I adored the steam sauna in my small, window-exposing bathroom. And who doesn't love being woken up by loud kitchen sounds at 8am?

We recently stayed at this boutique hotel in Camara de Lobos and had a wonderful experience as a family. The view from the hotel was stunning, overlooking the town and the ocean. It was a short walk to the center, where we enjoyed exploring the Funchal Marina and Complexo Balnear Barreirinha. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi were a hit with the kids after a long day of sightseeing. We also loved the free fruit on the premises, a fun and pleasant surprise for the whole family.
My wife says that it would have been great if there were more activities specifically tailored for children.

The hotel's decoration had a charming vintage touch, with elegant furniture and beautiful artwork on the walls. The general areas were spacious and well-maintained, making it easy for senior people like me to navigate around. The hotel's accessibility features, such as ramps and handrails, were greatly appreciated and made my stay comfortable.
I would have loved to see more activities or programs specifically catered towards senior guests.

I always stay at this amazing place in Camara de Lobos. It has everything I need - Wi-Fi, parking, AC, flat-screen TV, and more. The staff helped me when I needed a sim card. Can't wait to come back for Christmas!

The staff were friendly and accommodating, providing vegan options for breakfast and even preparing a packed breakfast for us. The view from our balcony was breathtaking, with a stunning combination of sea and mountain views. The hotel's location was perfect, offering easy access to the old town and other amenities. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, and appreciated the provision of a hairdryer and extra coat hangers. The hotel also helped us arrange a last-minute rental car and a whale watching trip. it was a great value for money and a truly satisfying experience.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

It had air conditioning, a comfy bed, and a smart TV with international channels. I felt like I was in my own little world! The private bathroom was really nice too, with a rainfall showerhead and complimentary toiletries. It felt like a spa retreat! I loved having a balcony in my double room. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and take in the beautiful view. The room was soundproof, which was great for a light sleeper like me. I didn't hear a peep from outside!
The only thing I didn't love was the cable flat-screen TV. It wasn't a big deal for me, but others might prefer more modern entertainment options.

I absolutely adored the charming and cozy decoration of the hotel. The vintage furniture and beautiful artwork created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for senior guests like myself. The general areas were well-maintained and provided a lovely space to relax and socialize. Additionally, the hotel's accessibility was exceptional, with wide hallways and elevators available for us to easily navigate.
I would have appreciated a bit more assistance from the children working there.

We had a fantastic stay at Quinta Da Saraiva Villa. the hotel is full of character and the family history, shared by Diogo, added to the experience. the view from our room was stunning, overlooking the ocean with beautiful sunsets. the breakfast served by the pool was delicious and varied. the location was perfect, close to Funchal and easily accessible from the highway. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We especially loved visiting the chickens, goats, and the sweet cat on the property.
A relaxing and charming place to stay. Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.

This boutique hotel above the harbor is absolutely mind-blowing! The history is fascinating, the breakfast is jaw-droppingly delicious, and the view is simply breathtaking. The pool and hot tub are super refreshing, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the spacious room with a kitchen is a pleasant surprise. The small road to the hotel is a bit narrow, but the ample parking below is a bonus. The staff are all lovely and go above and beyond to meet guests' needs. The vegan options for breakfast and packed breakfast are a great touch. The view from our balcony of the ocean and mountains is absolutely stunning. The eco-friendly approach of not changing towels daily is much appreciated. The extra coat hangers and assistance with rental car and whale watching trip make the stay even more memorable. The attention to detail in the newly opened Quinta is evident and it truly feels like a home away from home.
